Grodata Systems CC

Grodata Systems began operations in Germiston South Africa over 27 years ago, overlooking the local railway line. The early focus of the company was on computer hardware and software development.
From the start, accounting and payroll packages were produced.

Important early trial blazing achievements were being amongst the first in South Africa to provide Local Area Networks (LANs) and key file access methods.

Some years later, Grodata Systems was intensively involved in the early days of Voice Response, when a large project was completed for a leading South African Bank. Over the years, about 5 000 companies have been supported.

During 1997, it was decided to change the focus of the company to telecommunications. Here, innovations such as internet faxing, premium rate services and VOIP were introduced. We also moved closer to the main airport in South Africa, Johannesburg International during 1997 and instead of trains, we can now watch planes landing all day long.

From 2001 to date, the 'hot app' for us has been Bulk SMS to the international market. We find ourselves working today with a number of international suppliers, a few local South African customers and a fair number of international customers. Our REDHOT SMS website allows both local & overseas users a simple way to send text messages.

During 2006, as VOIP became legal in South Africa, we introduced our R 50 REDHOT PhoneCard to the Gauteng & Tswane/Pretoria areas. Many customers make use of our cheaper international phone connections. With REDHOT CONNECT, we make it possible for Internet Cafes to interface with our VOIP offering too.
