Developer/Programmer position available as part of small team developing entirely new backend online system.

Note: This is not a web-design position. If you are looking for a position to design web-pages or draw pretty pictures, this position is not for you.

PHP 5.2.6 and higher – Must be able to program raw PHP, that is no drag and drop or auto code completion help GUIs.
MySQL 5
Javascript
jQuery will be used extensively
HTML & CSS
Understanding and implementation of AJAX post and get
Use of json
Must have a good understanding of the statelessness of the http protocol and be able to implement PHP scripts combined with MySQL transactions to handle concurrent database updates.

OOP is NOT optional
At least 1 year working experience
Responsibilities:
Development will be for internal systems, processes and reporting
The focus will be on the back-end PHP with front-ends for capturing and manipulating data.
Documentation of code
Requirements and specifications will be given for a system module. You must be able to make your own contributions and notice the implicit requirements.
Must be able to work on your own or in a team and meet deadlines.
Linux experience will be an advantage because all the servers used are Linux based.
Skills matrix: on a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is “just completed my course” and 5 is “able to make my own contributions to the technology”, you must score as follow:
